Title: Source Water Assessment Protection Program (SWAPP) Ground Water Areas (Non Federal)
Geospatial Data Presentation Form: vector digital data
Description:
Abstract: Assessment area for surface systems created in 2004. The assessment areas were determined using the following: (1) upstream areas within a 72-hour in-stream time of travel to each intake, including the 100-year floodplain plus a 200 ft buffer to the floodplain; and (2) for lakes or reservoirs, the entire surface area of the lake or reservoir plus a 200 ft boundary.
Purpose: The Source Water Assessment and Protection Program (SWAPP) is a statewide program that attempts to identify potential contamination sources (PCS) within a distance to the source water used by Public Water Systems (PWS). Surface water assessment areas used to complete the 2018 assessment. For the results see: https://fldep.dep.state.fl.us/swapp/
